Not today rumors about the wire Galaxy Note circulating – but one common question is where Pen SMany improvements have been made over the years. Now, there seems to be new evidence of the current ingredient’s appearance Galaxy Z Fold 3, the Korean manufacturer’s future folding screen smartphone.
According to a report of UBI ResearchSamsung plans to use AES (Active Electrostatic Solution) technology so that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will support the S Pen pen, despite having a foldable screen.
AES might deliver better overall performance, but it also means higher production costs – which will make mobile phones even more expensive.
Currently, the Galaxy Note series uses EMR (Electromagnetic Resonance) technology, but it doesn’t work with flexible displays. Technical constraints are a major factor behind the manufacturer’s lack of implementation of its stylus in foldable smartphones.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 could have thicker UTG
The rumors suggest that Samsung is working on ultra-thin (UTG) glass that is resistant to the pen tip. The Galaxy Z Fold has a layer of UTG with a thickness of 30 micrometres, but it seems that something twice as thick would have allowed using the S Pen without major problems.
However, it is too early to be certain of any of these rumors. In August, some rumors about the appearance of the S Pen on the Galaxy S series along with the launch of the Galaxy S21 went viral in the media, but Samsung has yet to confirm any information. So what remains let us wait for the scenes in the next chapters.
