This week, Sony revealed which streaming apps will be available at the launch of the PS5. Microsoft has not released a similar list for Xbox Series X and Series S, but Tecnoblog are found in the company’s online store, where the app has been bookmarked under the new dashboard.
According to the investigation, the main streaming apps used and available on Xbox One will continue to work on Xbox Series X and Series S. In the Windows online store, you can found that software like Netflix and Crunchyroll are already being marked with compatibility for new devices.

Other less popular apps will work as well. Unlike the PS5, there is still no mention of Disney +, confirmed in Brazil on November 17, but no apps have been rolled out on any national online store yet – not even on mobile phones.
The launch of these apps is hardly surprising as the backward compatibility of the Xbox Series X and Series S will be extremely comprehensive. In fact, the two consoles share the same menu as the current Xbox One, which makes the user experience very close.
From the consumer’s point of view, though, it’s always a good idea to know and have confirmation of the entertainment options the console will have at launch.
